About Jack Olson:

Jack was born in Chicago, and discovered art at an early age. He was fifteen when his family moved to Colorado, where he discovered the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, and their surroundings. His love for the Mountains, Aspen Trees and western life is evident in his painting. Jack’s family traveled by train, and he grew a fondness for trains at an early age. It wasn’t until later in his career that he included them in his artwork. Jack is a member of the Oil Painters of America and participates in many throughout the country. He is published in Art west, Cowboys and Indians, etc. He is currently represented in galleries in Colorado and Wyoming.

“Being a mostly self-taught artist, I had to work diligently to evaluate my work to its current level. I am nowhere near where I would like to be as an artist and the never-ending struggle. The love of what you do is what keeps you going. I have been a Professional Artist for over 30 years, and I love it as much as I did when I started.”
