Did you catch the rainbow over Casper this morning? This was the view of it from East 15th Street near Beverly Street. It was a bit of beauty for an otherwise cloudy, drizzly start to the weekend.

HEADS UP: A hay trailer has overturned on interstate 25 blocking southbound Lanes near Casper at milepost 182. WYDOT is warning drivers to expect delays.

On Saturday, The Bloomery 307 hosted a fundraiser for the Wyoming Mustang Institute, which is based in Casper.

Chad Hanson presented his newest work, “In A Land of Awe,” during Saturday’s event, which also featured a performance by Gabriel The Bull.

One of Casper’s favorite hometown bands, Mastermind of Monkey, opened for MESSER on Friday for a concert in Casper.

According to the event page, “messer” means “knife” in German, and the Dallas, Texas, band cut a memorable swath through the rock world in 2018, starting with its debut single, “Make This Life,” and following it with a second, “Save Myself.” Both songs reached the top 20 Billboard “Mainstream Rock” charts.

Country music singer-songwriter Cody Johnson visited the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper on Thursday, bringing with him Ella Langley and Randy Houser, to thrill an audience of thousands.

Johnson’s eighth album, “Human: The Double Album,” released in October 2021.

The Ford Wyoming Center is bustling with activities as families enjoy the fourth annual Casper Kids Fest! Activities and performances are planned through 2 p.m.

It’s time to Fill The Boot for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.Casper firefighters are out at Casper’s Smith's, pictured here, Walmarts and Albertsons, where they are collecting donations as part of the International Association of Fire Fighters’ efforts to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Smiles, high-fives and cheers awaited students arriving onto a red carpet on the first day of the 2022 school year at St. Anthony’s Tri-Parish Catholic School on Tuesday morning in #Casper.

It’s a celebration that started some years back by former principal Cyndy Novotny that starts the new year off on a high note.

According to principal Melissa Wheelan, there are about 220 students and 50 staff members in the school. Wheelan, who has nearly 30-years of education experience, arrived a couple of months ago from New Jersey.

The distinctive purr of a vintage Volkswagen engine echoed off the buildings in downtown Casper on Sunday afternoon as a white 1976 VW Bus with black spots navigated the nearly empty streets.

The unmissable vehicle soon parked at The Office. John Womelsdorf, 59, and his son Erik, 23, then stepped out of the vehicle.

They were hungry and tired and, with evening approaching, were still hoping to make it to Cody that night. It would be one of dozens of stops on their journey from Caldwell, New Jersey, to the California coast.

Muralist Koda Witsken is used to interruptions while she works.

While working on the #Casper Mural Project’s latest mural Friday afternoon, numerous passersby stopped to ask questions. One toddler earned a fist-bump. A couple of times, voices from across the street could be heard hollering, ‘It’s beautiful!'”

None of the distractions are a problem for Witsken; rather, they’re part of the reason she’s doing what she does.
