CASPER, Wyo — Natrona County fire crews are arriving on the scene of a brush fire west of Casper Friday afternoon and “making good progress,” Natrona County Fire District spokesman Leighton Burgen told Oil City.
Central dispatch communication indicates crews are being dispatched to Cattle Trail Drive on the south side of Highway 20/26, just west of the Casper-Natrona County International Airport.
Submitted photos show a plume of smoke in that direction.
Dispatch communications at 4:40 p.m. indicate that “knockdown” of the fire is nearly complete.
