NCSO: Woman dies after being buried in snow on Casper Mountain

Update 3/15/19 3:00 pm- The Natrona County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as Kathy L. Sullivan.

Sheriff’s officials have released information regarding the death of a woman on Crimson Dawn Road, on Casper Mountain.

A statement from the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office says that on March 11, 2019, at approximately 2:54 pm, Natrona County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, along with medical personnel, responded to an address located on Casper Mountain for a 911 call of a 67 year-old female who was trapped under a significant amount of snow, that had fallen off of the roof of a house.

Information received by deputies was that a male and female were clearing snow from opposite ends of the roof.

The male heard snow crash down from the female’s side of the house. When he arrived to her side of the house, she was buried under several feet of snow.

The male then reportedly called 911.

After first responders arrived and dug in the snow for approximately 30 minutes, the female was located. First responders immediately provided life-saving measures, and she was transported to the Wyoming Medical Center.

Sheriff’s officials say that the female later died as a result of the injuries she sustained during the incident.
