Recap: An Instagram Vernal Equinox in the OC

A “supermoon” is seen glowing behind branches in central Casper on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. A supermoon, also known by astronomers as a perigean full moon, occurs when a full moon reaches its closest point to the Earth in its elliptical orbit, making it appear unusually bright and large. It was the third and final “supermoon” of 2019. (Dan Cepeda, Oil City)
