CASPER, Wyo. — The Mill Professional Firefighters will be at the Mills Town Hall on Wednesday, May 22 to address concerns about cuts to the fire department.
After June 30, the Town Council decided to lay off the nine firefighters employed by Mills, retaining only a fire administrator.
“Your safety is still at risk with the discussed closure of you fire department,” the Mills Professional Firefighters wrote on Faceboook, “Your Mills Professional Firefighters will be at the next council meeting…to notify the public of the issues and concerns at risk, as well as to address any information released and any questions you may have as a concerned citizen.”
“Your safety is our number one priority and we aim to continue to have the privilege to serve our great citizens and community.”
The Mills Town Council meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 22.
