CASPER, Wyo. — 17 of the contestants for the 2019 College National Finals Rodeo come from Wyoming.
The single largest state in terms of the number of qualified CNFR contestants is Texas, with 42, followed by California at 32.
34 states have qualifying contestants as well as two Canadian provinces. This is according to a map released by Natrona County on Tuesday, May 21.

All of the states surrounding Wyoming have qualifying contestants, including 13 from Colorado, 22 from Utah, 21 from Idaho and 24 from South Dakota.
Like Wyoming, Montana and Nebraska each have 17 qualifying contestants.
The 2019 CNFR will take place from June 9-15 in Casper.
