CASPER, Wyo. — Park Elementary School’s new construction project now has an architect firm selected to complete the designs.
The Natrona County School District’s school board authorized staff to negotiate a contract with GSG/Casparm Building Systems to conduct the addition and renovation designs during their Monday, June 10 meeting.
The estimated $2.1 million project received the board’s green light on April 22. They also approved $2.75 million repair efforts in addition to the new construction, bringing the total to an estimated $4.86 million.

The renovation project would add four classrooms at Park. The kindergarten classroom would be transformed into administrative space.
The design phase of the project is scheduled to begin in May and continue through September.
The first phase of construction is scheduled for October through December and would include construction of the new classrooms. There would be two further phases of the project, and the project completion date is listed as August 2022 on the district’s website.
In addition to GSG/Caspar Building Systems, the school district sought proposals from Amundsen Associates, Hein-Bond, and Stateline 7, Pope Construction, Haass Construction and Sampson Construction.
