School board adopts new five year strategic plan

CASPER, Wyo. — A new Natrona County School District Strategic Plan outlines five goals the district will work toward over the next five years.

The NCSD Board of Trustees approved the plan during their Wednesday, July 10 meeting.

The plan will be valid through 2024.

Trustee Dave Applegate said he thought a lot of work went into preparing the plan and added that he thought it had seen a lot of improvement through these efforts.

“I think it’s critically important,” Applegate said. “It holds us accountable.”

Chair Rita Walsh said she thought the goals were better than they have been in the past.

The district has prepared two ways of languaging the five goals included in the plan.

The first is intended to be more readily understandable to the general public:
