“‘We are looking for singers, dancers, and actors of all shapes, sizes, and ethnic backgrounds,’ said Richard Burk, director.”

“’We are producing ‘The Wiz,’ which was created as a Black expression of the ‘Wizard of Oz’ story, with a multicultural lens.’”

People who want to audition should select a “verse and refrain from a song that reflects the music of ‘The Wiz.'” That could include 1960s-1980s Motown or rock and roll music.

The college added that auditions will also include a dance portion.

Following the auditions, callbacks are scheduled for 6 pm Aug. 21.
