CASPER, Wyo. — Casperites can now get their toes in the sand and play volleyball together at Washington Park.
Renovations of the sand volleyball court there are complete, according to a July 19 news release from the City of Casper Parks and Recreation Department.
“’Parks staff excavated the old court, added new sand and formal borders, and installed a new net,’ stated Parks Manager Randy Norvelle.”

The court can be reserved for $2 per hour, but people can also use it for free on a first-come basis if it has not been reserved.
Pole pads and adjustable boundary lines can be borrowed from the Casper Recreation Center with a $200 deposit.
The sand volleyball court is located east of the tennis courts at Washington Park.
“Reservations are available through the Casper Recreation Center and can be made by calling (307) 235-8403,” the release says. “More information can be found at www.casperwy.gov.”
