CASPER, Wyo. — Vaping is increasingly a concern at Natrona County School District schools.
Associate Superintendent Walt Wilcox says that reports of vaping at elementary, middle and high school levels all increased during the 2018-2019 school year.
“We saw drastic increases at all levels,” he said, referring to elementary, middle and high school levels.

Wilcox explained that students found to be vaping are sometimes found engaged in other prohibited activities. He added that students vaping is a concern for many school district.
“We are not alone in Natrona on that topic,” he said.
Wilcox explained that the school district disciplines students who break rules through intervention methods in the district. But he said that students engaged in illegal activities may face consequences with law enforcement.
His comments came during an NCSD Safety and Security update delivered to the Board of Trustees on Monday, Aug. 12.
