Police investigating vandalism of CHA housing (PHOTOS)

CASPER, Wyo. — Officials with the Casper Police Department say that they are investigating the vandalism of two buildings owned by the Casper Housing Authority.

CHA officials said on social media August 13, that sometime during that day buildings owned by CHA, on the 1100 block of North Melrose Street, were vandalized.

Casper Police Department Spokesperson Rebekah Ladd confirmed that CPD investigators were working the case, and that the investigation is ongoing.

According to Ladd, the outside of two buildings were reportedly vandalized. One of the two was also vandalized inside.

The exterior vandalism on the buildings appears to have been done with red spray paint. Damages are estimated to be approximately $2,700 at this time.

Ladd went on to say that it is believed that the suspect or suspects gained entry into the building, on the 1100 block of North Melrose, in Casper, via an upstairs window.
