CASPER, — More houses were sold in the first six months of 2019 compared with the 2018 sales pace.
“In the Casper housing market, year-to-date home sales volume raced ahead of the 2018 pace while home prices improved over the first six months of 2019,” Jim Robinson, principal economist with Wyoming’s Economic Analyis Division said.
Robinson’s comments came along with the release of an August 2019 economic indicators report.

“The number of homes sold increased to 132 in June 2019 compared to sales of 109 a year ago while total sales of homes for the first six months of calendar year 2019 were 11.5 percent ahead of last year’s sales for the same number of months,” Robinson said.
The median sales price in June was $230,000, up from the median price in May of $209,750.
In June 2018, the median home sales price was $206,900.
