El Burro Loco to soon get restaurant license in Casper

CASPER, Wyo. — Casperites will soon have a new Mexican cuisine option.

El Burro Loco, a new restaurant located at 2333 East Yellowstone Highway is set to receive a restaurant license on Sept. 17.

The Casper City Council established this hearing date on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

The restaurant will go in at the location of the former Western Grill in Casper.

The former Western Grill restaurant was a landmark for hungry travelers and Casper residents since 1956. This article shares further details a

Co-owner Marisela Mareno says the restaurant will feature:

  • tortas (rolls stuffed with meats)
  • chilaquiles (corn chips smothered in meats, cheese and sauces)
  • tacos
  • burritos
  • breakfast items

The restaurant plans to eventually serve Mexican desserts and beer.
