CASPER, Wyo. — The City of Casper says that City Council is looking at the posted speed limits throughout Casper, and is seeking public comment on the matter.

“Setting speed limits is part of the City’s overall public safety plan and often involves speed studies, accident reviews, traffic standards, traffic flow, and more,” explained City Manager Carter Napier.

Casper City Council is taking comments on current speed limits citizens think are too high or too low.

Comments can be submitted via the City of Casper’s website: www.casperwy.gov .

“Council and City staff will consider the feedback received from this public comment portal to determine if any changes are needed,” stated Napier.

Napier did caution that several roadways through Casper, such as CY Avenue, East Yellowstone Highway, and Wyoming Boulevard are managed by Wyoming Department of Transportation.

“Unfortunately, we cannot adjust speed limits on these state highways,” Napier continued.
