CASPER, Wyo. — Supporters of President Donald Trump are organizing a march in Washington D.C. to protest against his impeachment.

At least one Wyoming protest event is being planned in conjunction with the Thursday, Oct. 17 national protest.

“There is a national movement to protest the impeachment of our president,” Lisa Weinmaster Glauner said on Facebook. “I am organizing one for Cheyenne.”

“We will meet at the corner of Lion’s Park (8th Ave. and Central) at 12 until 1 pm. Make a sign and bring it.”

The national protest is organized by “Women for America First.”

They appear to be pushing sales of Trump-related merchandise, selling t-shirts and asking people to wear “Trump gear.”

“Our President needs us more than ever before,” they say of the purpose behind the rally. “We must not let him down.”

National protesters also plan to spend money at Trump International at the end of their protest.

They suggest these slogans for rally supporters:

  • Don’t Impeach My Vote!
  • Stop Impeachment Now!
  • I stand with President Trump
  • Impeach This!

Wyoming’s United States Representative Liz Cheney has been critical of Trump’s decision to pull troops out of Syria, but also blames Democrats’ impeachment push for weakening the president’s position there.
