CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Events Center is selling the rights to name the facility.
General Manager Brad Murphy pointed to examples like Denver’s Pepsi Center as an example of what the Events Center is exploring.
Murphy said at the Friday, Oct. 18 Natrona County Travel & Tourism Council meeting that with over 200,000 visitors per year and over 200 events, corporate sponsors stand to gain a lot of advertising value from acquiring the naming rights.

He adds that then naming rights wouldn’t extend to events. The College National Final Rodeo, for example, would still be called the College National Finals Rodeo.
A request for proposals process has already opened and is posted to the City of Casper’s website.
“Prospective Corporations will be appraised on the basis of categories deemed most appropriate for a successful partnership,” the RFP reads.
Those criteria include:
- Financial Structure of Proposal
- Term of Proposal
- Business Opportunity Requirements
- Exclusivity Requirements
- Proposed Name of the Facility
- Marketing Initiatives to Support the Facility
- Financial Stability of Corporate Partner
Proposals are due by Nov. 22. The Casper City Council must approve any selection before a final contract can be made.
