CASPER, Wyo. — Wyoming’s United States Representative Liz Cheney says she attended game five of the World Series with President Donald Trump on Sunday, Oct. 27.
“Thank you to President and Mrs. Trump for inviting me to last night’s World Series Game 5,” Cheney said on Facebook. “It was an honor to be there with our incredible wounded warriors.”
“They were the true all-stars and heroes of last night’s game both on and off the field.”
Cheney has been critical of the Trump administration’s decision to pull back military efforts in northern Syria in recent weeks, saying it was leading to “sickening and predictable consequences.
But she has also been critical of Democrats’ impeachment push against Trump, saying that it weakens his administration’s position in Syria.
Despite testimony from former U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volger being available online, Cheney criticized Democrats for attempting to keep this testimony secret, calling their handling of the impeachment push “shameful.”
