CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office says that a trucker was stranded on impassable roads for three days, when they ultimately called Natrona County Officials for assistance.
Officials with the NCSO say that they received a call on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019 for a report of a stranded tractor trailer combination. The reporting party advised that he took a two-track road through a remote portion of Natrona County, following a GPS route, when the tractor trailer combination became stuck, near Black Mountain in Natrona County.
Deputies responded to the area using the GPS coordinates supplied by the driver. The driver said that they had been stuck for three days.

According to an NCSO incident report, deputies chained all four tires in an effort to traverse the snow and drifts en route to the scene. The driver was ultimately located and was described as very cold and hungry.
Arrangements were made to retrieve the tractor trailer at a later time. The driver was reportedly transported to Casper for the night.
No injuries were reported with the incident.
The driver told Sheriff’s Deputies that they were on the way to Salt Lake City, when they became stranded.
