Casper Events Center roof ‘snow guards’ to cost about $60,000

CASPER, Wyo. — Snow guards will be added to the roof of the Casper Events Center.

The Casper City Council authorized a contract with Laramie-based Gem City Roofing, Inc. to install such guards for $59,030.

They also approved $5,000 in contingency funding.

About “2,600 linear feet of snow retention devices on the roof,” a memo in the council’s work packet explains.

Gem City submitted one of only two bids for the project. The other was from Buffalo-based Dave Loden Construction in the amount of $133,885.
