Casper’s ‘Rib & Chop’ liquor license transfer likely two weeks away

(Dan Cepeda, Oil City)

CASPER, Wyo. — Wyoming’s Rib & Chop House is aiming for a December opening at the former Wonder Bar in downtown Casper, but before they do so, they still need a liquor license in order to serve their full menu.

The City of Casper has received an application to transfer ownership of a retail liquor license from 3OH7 Hospitalities, LLC (who did business as C85 @ The Wonder Bar prior to closing) to Casper Chop House, LLC.

The City Council is likely to vote on whether to approve the transfer in two weeks. They’ll vote on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to establish Nov. 19 as the public hearing date for the transfer.

If the council approves the transfer, the license will not be immediately issued to Rib & Chop. First, they’ll need to obtain other necessary permits from the city.

A memo in the city council’s work packet explains that the Casper Fire-EMS Department, the Community Development Department and the Casper-Natrona County Health Department will inspect the business to ensure it is in full compliance with local rules.

The new restaurant will be located at 256 South Center Street in Casper.
