CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper City Council has selected a new vice mayor to serve in 2020.
Councilwoman Khrystyn Lutz was selected to serve as the vice mayor next year.
Vice mayors currently serve one year terms and are appointed from among the nine members of council. The new mayor’s term will begin in January after the council confirms their decision to appoint Lutz to the position.

The council held a straw poll during their Tuesday, Nov. 26 work session to select the new vice mayor.
Council also selected Councilman Steve Freel as the mayor for 2020.
