“Games and practices for youth will be at the Main Club (1701 East K Street, Casper) gymnasiums Monday through Friday evenings,” a Dec. 5. announcement reads. “The season begins Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 and ends in March.”
The deadline to register for the youth league is Jan. 9 with a cost of $25 per child.
“All participants must be members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming,” the release adds. ” Annual memberships are $10 per child.”
“You can register at any Club site (Lincoln, Journey, Paradise Valley, Verda James Elementary, or Main Club) in Casper.”
The high school league will hold games on Fridays and Saturdays at the Main Club. That league will begin play on Jan. 24 and go through March.
That league costs $15 per child plus membership. The deadline to register is Jan. 10.
“With more than 250 kids expected to register, volunteer coaches are needed to make the season a success,” the release adds. “Experience is not required, but a general knowledge of the sport is helpful. Coaching is more than teaching a sport. It’s being a trusted mentor for youth and being able to instill a sense of good sportsmanship in the players.”
“If you have any questions about the leagues or would like to volunteer to coach, contact Jake Wilson at (307) 235-5694 ext. 3.”
