CASPER, Wyo. — Two people will be honored by the American Red Cross of Wyoming on Wednesday, Dec. 18 in Casper.
Those individuals include Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Adam Bruning and Division of Criminal Investigations Agent Brad Reinhart.
They’ll receive a “Lifesaving Award” from the Red Cross for administering CPR “to a basketball player who collapsed on the court, sustaining him until paramedics arrived.”

“On August 16, 2019, [the two] called on their CPR training to save the life of a man who collapsed while playing basketball at the Casper Recreation Center,” the Red Cross adds. “Trooper Bruning and Agent Reinhart performed CPR until EMS arrived to transport the man to the hospital, where he later recovered.”
“For their heroic and lifesaving action, Bruning and Reinhart will receive the Red Cross Lifesaving Award for Professional Responders: Certificate of Extraordinary Action.”
The ceremony is set to begin at 11 am Wednesday at the Wyoming Department of Transportation office in Casper, located at 800 Bryan Stock Trail.
