CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Police Department says they are aware of a video allegedly showing a juvenile assaulting an adult male.
They say the video has been circulating on social media.
“A police report has been taken,” the Casper PD said in a Friday, Jan. 3 release. “Officers have identified and been in contact with parties involved. We believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.”
Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of South Beverly Street for a welfare check on Jan. 1.
“Officers received information that an adult male had been physically assaulted at this location on the night of December 31st, 2019,” the release adds. “At the residence, officers spoke with the victim who told officers the incident occurred after a dispute between himself, his tenant and the tenant’s guests.”
“The victim denied services and told officers he did not want to pursue assault charges at this time. The Casper Police Department Victim Services Unit is continuing to talk with the victim to assist him through this situation.”
