CASPER, Wyo. — Habitat for Humantity, The Heart of Wyoming is developing a new $2.5 million subdivision to provide affordable housing options to Casper families.
The 13-home “Harris Crossing” subdivision is located on a 2.91 acre property in east Casper. Once complete, it will be Habitat for Humanities largest project in Casper.
Habitat for Humanity is hosting an open house from 4-6 pm Wednesday, Jan. 8 to allow people to tour the new development.

“The event is an opportunity for supporters and potential homeowners to tour a Habitat home in our community,” the organization says. “The Open House is being hosted in coordination with the organization’s application cycle.”
“Now through January 31st, Habitat for Humanity will be accepting applications for its homeownership program.”
“Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity, The Heart of Wyoming, a nonprofit housing organization, brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope,” the organization explains. “People partner with Habitat for Humanity to build a place they can call home.”
“Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering, or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves.”
