CASPER, Wyo. —  Casper Police say that a man wanted on several warrants was arrested this week, and found to be in possession of a suspected controlled substance. Details released in the case say that the charge is a third or subsequent charge, and was recommended at the felony status.

According to Natrona County Circuit Court Documents, Elburn Bailey was arrested on January 5, 2020; after police did a patrol check of a business on Southeast Wyoming Boulevard.

Upon entering the building, officer say that they identified Bailey, and knew him to have four active warrants for his arrest.

During the contact with officers, it is alleged that Baily identified himself under a false name to officers; and refused to confirm his name before his arrest.

A search of Bailey’s person reportedly yielded a small bundle of marijuana in the suspect’s pocket. A police affidavit filed in Natrona County Circuit Court says that Bailey told officers he had two prior convictions.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
