CASPER, Wyo. — The best place to catch jackalopes is after they are shivering cold from taking a plunge into icy waters.

Those who’ve never seen such fantastic creatures have the chance to do so at an upcoming 2020 Jackalope Jump in Casper.

The event is organized by Special Olympics Wyoming to raise funds for over 1,900 athletes across the state.

“Think you have what it takes to ‘BE BOLD, GET COLD’ in honor of our brave athletes?” Special Olympics asks. “The concept is simple: participants raise a minimum of $50 per team member (teams of 4+) or, $100 per individual and take a dip into one of Wyoming’s frozen lakes (or a pool).”

“The jumps are so much more than that. They’re the kind of fun and thrilling events that you really have to experience to understand. Grab some friends, get pumped and register today.”

The event will be held Friday, Feb. 21 at the Casper Recreation Center.
