CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Police Department has announced they will be holding a community engagement town hall, to discuss “the future of the CPD and the need for a new facility.”
“Casper is our community and its future is our responsibility,” a Facebook event description says. “It’s been at least 60 years since CPD has operated out of a City owned building. The expectation and demand for a highly transparent and professional police department is the new national standard. We want to rise above that.”
The Casper PD Community Engagement Town Hall is being held Thursday, January 30th, 2020 at The Lyric in Downtown Casper, across from David Street Station.
Doors open at 5:00pm, presentation starts at 5:30pm
The Casper PD says that the following items are on the schedule:
- Mr. James Estes, President of Police Facility Design Group, will present on his firms’ architectural research into CPD’s current facility and needs.
- Casper City Manager Carter Napier will present on the proposed financial planning for the new facility.
- Casper Police Chief Keith McPheeters will present on the future of the Casper Police Department and be available for public Q+A following the presentations.
