Rivett made headlines in the days leading up to the 2017 eclipse, with a project that was featured on the cable network HGTV.com.

Rivett designed the interior of a trendy tiny house for a promotional project entitled “Call of the WY.”

The design of the house should represent “the spirit of Wyoming”, said Wyoming Office of Tourism’s Kristin Phipps in June of 2017. “For us, that meant working with Shawn on this project”, Phipps continued. “He’s one of Wyoming’s most talented designers and we’re delighted to work with him.”

Services are being planned for a later date. A full obituary has not been published.
