CASPER, Wyo — A pair of vehicles racing are responsible for causing a wreck involving a group of motorcycles and a truck at the intersection of CY Avenue and Wyoming Boulevard Saturday night in Casper, according to Casper police (CPD).
The racing vehicles fled the scene and the incident is under active investigation, CPD Sergeant Albrecht told Oil City News Sunday.
Albrecht said the racing vehicles were headed south on SW Wyoming Boulevard, toward the CY intersection, around 7:00 pm August 8 when they cut off a group of motorcycle riders, causing the bikes to collide. This caused a truck to stop abruptly, which caused 2 other motorcycles behind the truck to crash into each other, sending one motorcycle into a skid.

Three of the motorcycle riders were taken to Wyoming Medical Center with “non-life-threatening injuries,” said Albrecht.
