CASPER, Wyo. — The Federated Fire Fighters of Wyoming said on Tuesday, Aug. 25 that the Wyoming Firefighter’s Hall of Fame has a new member.

“The Federated Fire Fighters of Wyoming would like to congratulate Brother Joe Fender on being inducted into the Wyoming Firefighter’s Hall of Fame,” the announcement states. “Joe spent the overwhelming portion of his fire service career serving the membership of the FFFWY and improving conditions for all Wyoming Firefighters.”

The Cheyenne Firefighters L-279 also awarded Fender a Lifetime Membership due to his service. Fender has also been named the Federated Fire Fighters of Wyoming’s first President Emeritus.

“Now Joe is recognized in the first class of Hall of Fame members,” the Federated Fire Fighters of Wyoming said. “Brother, thank you for your dedication to working for Wyoming Firefighters.”
