CASPER, Wyo. — The public is invited to attend a candlelight vigil in Casper to raise awareness about domestic violence and “to mourn, celebrate, and remember those lost to abuse,” according to the Self Help Center.
The candlelight vigil will begin at 6 pm Sunday, Oct. 4 at the Tate Pumphouse.
“In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness month, the Self Help Center is joining with several other community agencies, families, and friends to mourn, celebrate, and remember those lost to abuse,” the vigil’s announcement states. “In addition, we are joining to share in our commitment toward offering ‘help and hope’ for those in need of advocacy and justice as well as ongoing resources for victims and their families.”

In addition to the candlelight vigil, a light dinner and live music will be offiered.
“Community leaders will be sharing their respective messages toward eliminating violence in our community,” the Self Help Center adds. “If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact the Self Help Center at (307) 235-2814.”
