The Wyoming Department of Transportation and the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office are looking for information regarding the shooting of a piece of road repair equipment this week, in Natrona County.
It’s reported that sometime Sept. 14, a WYDOT loader was fired upon, while unoccupied.
The loader was parked on State property along Hat Six Road just south of Second Street.

“Several shots were fired into the CAT loader – breaking through a side window, the windshield and leaving a few holes in the body,” WYDOT said in a statement Tuesday. “As you can see, we take vandalism seriously.”
The NCSO reportedly recovered several 9 mm casings.
Investigators say the shooter(s) were believed to be headed south on Hat Six Road.
