CASPER, Wyo. — Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon has ordered that flags be returned to full staff at sunset on Tuesday, Sept. 29 following the burial of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Gordon’s order comes pursuant to a directive from the White House and applies to both United States and Wyoming flags, according to the governor’s office.
Ginsburg is the first woman in American history to lie in state at the United States Capitol, according to the Associated Press. Commemerations in her honor began on Friday.

Ginsburg died on Friday, Sept. 18 at the age of 87. She died of of complications from metastatic pancreatic cancer, the AP reported.
Ginsburg was the second female justice appointed to serve on the Supreme Court.
