CASPER, Wyo —  Volunteers will pack Thanksgiving dinner boxes at the Wyoming Rescue Mission Monday, Nov. 16, for delivery later later in the week to low-income neighborhoods.

The nonprofit shelter announced that the pack session will begin at 10:00 am Monday at 230 N Park Street, the main Park Street Center.

150 boxes will be packed, each with traditional Thanksgiving dinner items, including a frozen turkey, canned green beans, yams and cranberry sauce, and boxed potatoes, the Mission said.

“What an honor it is to serve our Wyoming neighbors in need with a Thanksgiving dinner box,” Brad Hopkins, Wyoming Rescue Mission executive director, said.

“Those in need are more isolated and struggling than ever this Thanksgiving with the pandemic and economic slowdown. We are incredibly grateful for our community making Thanksgiving possible for families in need!”
