Casper music staple Pat Patton booked for March ARTCORE performance

CASPER, Wyo —  More changes are taking place in upcoming ARTCORE line-up.

Retired director of choral activities at Casper College and former Up With People music director and lead guitarist Pat Patton will perform “A Passport in Song” March 21st at 4:00p.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.

This will take place instead of the originally scheduled Dan and Patty Goble.

Patton has been driving wife and Casper Children’s Chorale director Marcia Patton “crazy” playing guitar and ukulele with the PA on “full blast” since March 2020, according an ARTCORE release Monday. 

Patton will bring his favorite instruments and “take you on a little journey around the world,” for his ARTCORE performance, he said in the release.

Another change is the cancellation of On Ensemble for May 21st.  “Because we have a three-year rotation of our Japan Day performers, we will be scheduling them for 2023-24,” said Carolyn Deuel, ARTCORE’S executive director.

Next up is Houston-based Soul Street Dance is one of the most dynamic premier dance companies in existence will perform at Highland Park Church  April 20, at 7:30 p.m.

The Celtic Cultural Showcase, featuring Wyoming’s Richens/Timm Academy of Irish Dance is scheduled for April 23rd.

Wyoming farmer and violinist Conor Jacobson will return April 25 to perform the remaining partitas of  J. S. Bach’s “Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin.”

“The beauty of these pieces is that they are so relevant because they run so closely with the human experience,” Conor Jacobson told Oil City News.

  • California Guitar Trio with Montreal Guitar Trio: rescheduled for Feb. 10, 2022
  • Men of Worth: rescheduled for Mar. 10, 2022
  • Colorado Children’s Chorale
  • Pamela Glasser

“Pamela will probably reschedule for this summer, but Eugene and Colorado Children’s Chorale may be a couple seasons off,” Deuel said.
