CASPER, Wyo — 40 mph winds with locally higher gusts Monday took down a beloved Casper monument, the ‘leaning tree’ of Washington Park.
City Parks officials were seen cordoning off the fallen tree Monday evening. No comment was offered as to what the city plans to do with it.
NOTE: Oil City News was unable to confirm if a metal sheathing seen shorn from the roof of a home Monday was due to the wind.
