Hot, dry weather along with strong gusty winds have elevated fire danger across the state today, according to numerous agencies and the National Weather Service in Riverton.

The NWS says strong gusts up to 65 mph could continue through the night before a slight cool down on Friday. Temperatures will heat back up again over the weekend, with a high of 94 degrees predicted for Sunday, and 97 degrees on Monday in the Casper area.
