CASPER, Wyo. — Monsoonal moisture moving into Wyoming Saturday will bring widespread showers and thunderstorms to the west, southwest and central areas, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Riverton.
Storms are expected to develop in the afternoon and continue through the evening hours.
“Heavy rain may accompany some of these storms and produce localized flooding,” NWS said. “Rural roads could become washed out and debris flows could occur in steep terrain.”
There is a slight to marginal risk of excessive rainfall in areas highlighted in green. Higher chances are highlighted in yellow:
