CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Seller’s Market bustled with activity Saturday night as shoppers and browsers surveyed the vendors’ stands.
Shelves, hemp, salsa, stuffed animals, honey, pieces of elegant and functional carpentry, and painted concrete gnomes made up just a small portion of the unique offerings.
Papa’s Pork Chop’s pork chops, Tropical Sno’s shaved ice, Samboys Hawaiian BBQ’s plate lunches and craft beer from Skull Tree Brewing were on hand to enliven and refresh attendees.
Some sellers, like Gale Gibson, have been at it since 1991. She sells stuffed animals and mystery bags — labelled only by appropriate age group. “Most of my customers were always return customers,” she said.
Lorelei flaunted her gift bag prize with satisfaction as she rode with sister Avery, carted by parents Brittany and Steven.
Sonny Lamb was familiar with carpentry all his life (his father was a carpenter), but only this year did he begin assembling complex pieces with multiple woods for an array of trivets, baguette boards, cutting boards, and functional bag carriers. His wife Janae (both are military veterans) sold ornate painted plates.
