CASPER, Wyo. — National Dog Day is Thursday, August 26 and is an opportunity for pet owners to celebrate their relationship with their dogs and the fun things they do together.

The Bureau of Land Management Wyoming, which manages public land in the state where people can take their dogs for some outdoor adventure, is celebrating National Dog Day.

BLM Wyoming shared a photo taken by the BLM’s Johanna Blanchard of her dog Freya playing in the snow in “The Bus” area near Lander.

“During these waning dog days of summer, Freya is dreaming about frolicking in the snow,” BLM Wyoming said. “One of her favorite places to run is on #PublicLands in The Bus area near Lander. How will you celebrate with your 4-legged friend?”
