CASPER, Wyo. — Keyhole Burlesque is returning to the Bourgeois Pig Friday and Saturday with one to two hours of risqué escapism and celebration of all things “Hollywood Horror.”
“Halloween is our favorite holiday,” troupe leader Fathom Swanson told Oil City News. Both shows will be unique, she said, and feature group and solo musical numbers, belly dancing, drag, and voodoo magic by Baron Gris (the alter ego of Wyoming magician Byron Grey).
Cruella DeVille, Dolly Parton, Scooby Doo, Chucky and the Bride of Chucky, Frank’nFurter, Poison Ivy, and Hannibal Lecter will be among the iconic characters portrayed.
There will also be a “very special guest from Fort Collins, Julia DiVerdi.”
The troupe has taken on new members over its two shows last summer, and some will be performing for the first time. Those who stepped out of their comfort zones with rookie performances this summer, meanwhile, experienced a “skyrocket” boost of confidence, leading them expand their acts and take on choreography duties.
“That’s why we do what we do,” Swanson said.
Both shows are $5 and for ages 18+.
