CASPER, Wyo. — Check out some the local and touring musicians riding out the storm in the Oil City this weekend.

Mastermind of Monkey

The Casper-based four-piece Mastermind of Monkey will bring the classic covers (’50s to modern) and originals to the dance floor.

Burning Bridges

The band will be bringing the ’80s-’90s rock covers on the night of the Gaslight’s costume contest.

Zack Schommer

Schommer is a prolific Casper native who has been playing area tap rooms, clubs and festival stages for many years.

The Spotlight’s official grand opening Saturday will feature the Day Drinkers, whose Facebook page says features “original music sprinkled over a variety of music that caters to day drinkers of all ages.”

Dirt Reynolds will open, the Spotlight said.

Reckless Kelly

For a career spanning nearly 25 years, Reckless Kelly has brought its unique sound to Americana. The group recently celebrated the dual release of two new albums — American Jackpot and American Girls. The Idaho-bred band is a Grammy-winning group that combines rock and country influences.

Kapen Haley is “a local singer/songwriter from Casper, Wyoming playing everything from modern folk, bluegrass, blues, country and rock with his acoustic guitar and drum box,” according to his Facebook page.
