CASPER, Wyo. — High winds have led the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) to close two highways between Laramie and Walcott Junction to light, high-profile vehicles Sunday afternoon.
The closures on Interstate 80 and US 30/287 between Laramie and Walcott Junction took effect at 12:34 p.m. Sunday, WYDOT said.
The National Weather Service predicted increasing winds through Sunday afternoon with gusts of 40 to 50 mph.
