CASPER, Wyo. — The Town of Evansville approved a 2% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) increase to base salaries for 33 full-time employees at its regular meeting Monday

“We’ve asked all the employees to go the last couple of years status quo, so they have no received any cost-of-living increases over the last two budget cycles,” Mayor Chad Edwards said. “I think it’s appropriate for us to pay back the employees that have done so much for us over the last couple of years.”

Edwards said that revenues to the town from sales taxes had been “charting well” in 2021, taking in $35,948 more than anticipated in the approved budget. The cost of the COLA would be just under $33,000, Edwards said, and would not require any additional revenue.
