NCSD schools in Casper inviting veterans to Veterans Day ceremonies

CASPER, Wyo. — Several Natrona County School District schools will be hosting Veterans Day ceremonies on Thursday, November 11 and are inviting veterans to attend.

CY Middle School will be hosting its 5th annual Veterans Day Ceremony in honor of Casper veterans starting at 8:15 a.m. Thursday.

“Veterans will be greeted in the library by staff and students and may enjoy coffee and donuts before being recognized in the Commons,” the district said.

The school’s band, orchestra and choir students will also give performances during the ceremony. Veterans interested in attending should RSVP by contacting Jill Weibel at (307) 253-2700.

Centennial Junior High will be hosting its 19th annual Veterans Day Assembly starting at 8:15 a.m. Thursday. The event will feature guest speaker Army Reserve Specialist and Pastor Don Bergstrom. The assembly will be held in the main gym.

“Veterans, their spouses, and families are invited for coffee and rolls before the assembly from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m.,” the district adds. “Veterans will be escorted to the Main Gym at 8:05 a.m. Please RSVP to Centennial’s Main Office at 307-253-2900 or Jill H. Pomroy at Jill593@myncsd.org.”

Fort Caspar Academy will also be hosting a Veterans Day Ceremony to honor those who served. The ceremony will begin at 1:15 p.m. Thursday and will include short presentations, videos and songs.
