CASPER, Wyo. — High winds have led the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) to close highways in southeast Wyoming, including portions of Interstates 80 and 25, to light, high-profile vehicles.
I-80 between Laramie and Walcott Junction has been closed to vehicles at risk of blow over. I-25 between Cheyenne and Wheatland is also closed to light, high-profile vehicles due to blow over risk.
The closures were announced at 9:45 a.m. Sunday morning.
A high wind warning is in effect for the region through 5:00 p.m. Monday with expected gusts of 65 mph or over.
