BNFD Assistant Chief Wes Gilmore (Bar Nunn Fire Department, Facebook)
CASPER, Wyo. — The Bar Nunn Fire Department said on Tuesday that the department and the family of Assistant Chief Wesley “Wes” Gilmore are asking the community for prayers and support after Gilmore suffered a widowmaker heart attack over the weekend.
Gilmore was awake at the hospital and following simple commands on Tuesday morning but was still on a ventilator, according to the Bar Nunn FD.
“Wes has been with the Bar Nunn Fire Department for 20 years and has a passion for helping others,” the Bar Nunn Fire Department said. “He always steps up and puts people’s needs before his own. Please help us in praying for our courageous, dedicated, and hardworking brother.”
The Natrona County Fire District on Tuesday offered thoughts and prayers for Gilmore, his family and the rest of the Bar Nunn Fire Department.
